I came into this industry with a background in Customer Service and various levels of management skills. I transitioned my career into travel back in 2001 where I graduated from the Travel Program at Robertson College. I was immediately hired as a junior travel agent at a major retail travel agency, and within a couple of years, I was promoted to a managing position at another Retail Travel Agency located in Winnipeg. Within the same company in 2004 I was promoted to Business Development Manager and relocated to Vancouver, BC where I was responsible for establishing and running a Cruise Center within the organization.

In 2007, my wife and business partner Maria made a mutual and exciting decision to move back to Winnipeg to start our own independent travel business, and the rest was history. We came up with our Manitoba registered name: Bill & Maria’s – The Traveling Agent, and now brand our company under the slogan “TTAGENT”, which in our opinion is much easier to remember.

One of the main reasons we decided to leave our travel careers in Vancouver to come back to Winnipeg to become an independent travel company was to be closer to family and friends, as this is where we were both originally born and raised. Our goal was to re-establish our roots in Winnipeg and build a quality travel business that we would be proud of for years to come.

Today, we have come so far in carving our niche in the Group Vacations market as we felt that this was one area many of our travel clients needed the most help. The group vacation planning process can be confusing, overwhelming, and time-consuming. We take all those worries away as our group vacation clients appreciate the valuable services, we provide.

For over 19 years I have been in the Travel Industry following my passion to help my valued clients experience their dream vacations with the complete peace-of-mind that I’m there to make sure your entire trip is stress-free and memorable.

Throughout my travel career, I have specialized in planning “Group Vacations”, “Destination Weddings”, “Honeymoons”, as well as “Vacation Tours” and various exclusive “Group Events”. One unique service I have just become involved in is offering “Special Needs Travel Services” as I feel there’s not only a growing demand for this service, but also that it’s important to be involved in a service such as this to ensure everyone no matter what the restrictions are should be able to have a fun, relaxing, or adventurous holiday like everyone else!

My passion for the travel industry allows me to keep involved in numerous Travel Agent Familiarization trips to keep my knowledge and skills sharp, and my personal vacations to Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, California, New York, Florida, and Las Vegas allows me to learn more about each destination and pass this information on to my valued clients.

I graduated from Robertson College with a Travel Counselor Diploma in 2000.

As a certified Sandals/Beaches Resorts specialist, I have had the privilege to inspected every Sandals & Beaches Resort properties located in Jamaica, including the Luxurious Royal Plantation offering clients Butler Service. I am also a graduate of the “Jamaican Specialist” course and hold many individual Resort Program Certificates in the Caribbean and worldwide such as RIU Resorts, AM Resorts (Dreams, Secrets, Now, Zoetry, Breathless, Sunscape, and Reflect), plus Fairmont vacation properties, and so many more…

I love working with couples to help plan their dream destination wedding, plus I enjoy handling various vacation groups, such as Family Group Vacations, Reunions, Group Tours and also Adventure Vacations. My goal is to take all the stress from planning a vacation off of you and allow me to do all the work for you as you sit back and relax and wait to be swept away in paradise where dreams and memories are made.

Hi my name is Alicia Isfjord and I started Trouvaille Adventures to help make your travel planning process as simple and hassle-free as possible!

A little about me… Trouvaille Adventures has allowed me to take my love for travel, my detailed planning and organization skills to a new level. In combination with my extensive background in excellent customer service after working in the service industry for over 18 years, I am here to provide excellent travel planning services for my clients.

I myself have traveled to many locations, including Disneyworld and Disneyland many times, Vegas, New York, Mexico, Bahamas and Jamaica, as well as many other destinations in the US and Canada. I definitely plan to check off many more destinations on my list over the years to come to visit and explore the world. I am very passionate about educating myself to offer the best choices and options for my clients.

I consider myself a specialist in Family Travel as I have taken industry courses with Disney Vacations, Universal Studios Vacations and many more from top family vacation destinations. I know what traveling with little ones can be like and I can help you plan a trip that the whole family will enjoy! I think parents deserve a getaway alone sometimes too and I have some great ideas for a quick weekend adventure or a relaxing week at the beach or spa.

I can help plan your destination wedding, making sure all your guests are given VIP treatment and that every detail is taken care of. I can also help with the events leading up to the wedding (like trips to find the perfect dress with mom and your bestie!) or a romantic honeymoon after the big day. Planning a group bachelor or bachelorette party in Vegas or Nashville is a great idea and very popular right now, but can be lots of work to coordinate. Let me help!
